Eckhard Ortwein
Eckhard Ortwein is Chief Executive Officer of paybox since February 2006. Eckhard co-founded paybox in 1999, acting as CTO and COO until 2003. Eckhard heads the Sales and Marketing efforts.
Between 2003 and 2006, he was Co-Manager Mobile Commerce for mobilkom Austria in Vienna - making mobilkom the leading provider of mobile Commerce services worldwide and building the first national operator consortium for mobile Payments.
Before paybox, Eckhard was Senior Management Consultant at Arthur D. Little in Wiesbaden and in Palo Alto/USA – and a Project Manager for international IT projects at Procter & Gamble.
Stefan Coors
Stefan Coors is Senior Vice President Project Delivery and Operations for paybox solutions. He joined paybox in 2008 to add even more momentum to project delivery and operations. Stefan's focus in paybox is on IT strategy, processes, implementation and operations.
He has over 15 years of experience in project management, IT and solution design. Stefan has designed, implemented and managed numerous solutions for leading airports and airlines, both in Europe and in the US. In 2000, Stefan became a key player in a joint-venture company between T-Systems and Fraport in the US, implementing large-scale projects for airports in North America.
Stefan holds a Master of Computer Science from the RWTH Aachen, he is fluent in German, English, and Portuguese.
Markus Hück
Markus Hück is Head of Product Development at paybox. Markus joined paybox in November 2000 as Software Developer. He is the driver behind the design and the implementation of the paybox Mobiliser Products.
He specified and designed the multi-issuer and multi-acquirer mobile payment technology with an in-depth knowledge of mobile payment transaction processing and account management systems.
Markus holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Technical university in Aachen; he is fluent in German, English and has knowledge in French.
Carsten Kress
Carsten Kress, born 1973, joined paybox solutions AG as Sales Director April 1 2008.
Carsten Kress previously worked for Software AG as the Director Sales Enablement and Processes, responsible for worldwide Sales Enablement of Software AGs offerings and the improvement of all global Sales Processes and Methods with the goal to increase Revenue per Sales Representative by at least 50% annually. Before, he was working for Staffware PLC (merged with TIBCO Software in 2004) as a Sales Representative for over 5 years. During this time he was responsible for sales in different vertical markets: General Commercial, Telecommunication & Media, Industry & Automotive. Before moving to Software Sales, Carsten Kress collected practical experience as branch manager for WMF, a leading supplier of products and services around table and kitchenware.
Heidrun Kirsch
Heidrun Kirsch is Marketing Director of paybox since January 2006. Heidrun has over 13 years industry and consulting experience in Marketing Management for global corporations and start-ups in the telecommunications, financial services, and life science industry. Before paybox, Heidrun was a Marketing Consultant and a Senior Brand Manager for Lilly Deutschland GmbH.
Heidrun holds a Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, USA and a Master of Sciences in Genetics from the Albert Ludwigs-University in Freiburg i.Br., Germany.
Alexander Rolfe
Alexander is VP Business Development since May 2007. Alexander also acts as Managing Director of ECR Publishing since January 2007. Alex set up Mobile Payments World in 2001, acting as Managing Editor. Between 1999 and 2001, he was Branding Manager for Guardian Media Group in Manchester - making Hed Kandi one of the biggest dance music labels in the music industry and managed the rebranding of Jazz FM to Smooth FM.
Alex holds a Money, Banking and Finance diploma from University of Northumbria and a BA Archaeology from Manchester University.
Moatasem Osam
Moatasen is VP Sales for the Middle East and North Africa since October 2007. Prior to paybox, Moatasem was the Head of Payment Services of Vodafone Egypt between 2005 and 2007, and managed to launch the first Mobile eTopup and Mobile Virtual Wallet propositions in the Middle East. Between 2001 and 2005 he was the Senior Marketing Manager of Consumer Services in Vodafone Egypt, managing a series of successful services, like SMS, Call Tone (Ring Back Tone) and Vodafone live. Earlier, he worked for other multinational organizations like IBM Egypt, Schlumberger Syria and Phillips Saudi Arabia.
Moatasem holds a Master of Business Administration from Maastricht School of Management in Holland, and a B.Sc. in Electronics and Communications from Ain Shams University, Egypt.
Mathew Avadiar
Mathew is Director, Business Development – Asia Pacific since May 2006. Mathew is based in Melbourne and has over 30 years in banking and IT industries, with experiences in programming, system development, software development management, project management, consulting, sales management, senior management roles in IT companies, director and shareholder in IT companies.
